HOW TO REMOVE SOFTWARE THAT CANNOT BE UNINSTALLED

how to uninstall applications that wont uninstall ia a s60 phone:[try this at your own ,risk read everything carefully and do it]

some time certain jar files when installed in a s60 mobile wont uninstall ina s60 phone .
this uninstallation error is due to the following reasons.
1. the application is open when you try to uninstall it.
2.due to internal eror inthe application the application will not uninstall.

so when you uninstall the applications using the application manager make sure that the application is properly closed.

however when you have internal errors even when the application is closed ,when you try to uninstall it you receive an error message saying that "unable to delete application is open" . in this case you will have to tackle this a bit differently.
first you need a file manager like fe explorer or xplore .make sure you have revealed all hidden files and system folders.if you have your software (which you cant remove ) on the memory card goto E:/system/app folder then locate the folder in which the soft to be removed is present. note the name of the folder .let this folder be "A" .then locate E:/system/midlets/ and locate the folder inside midlets which has the jar file of the software
let this folder be "B"
for example
if the txt file contains E:/system/MIDlets/"B(say)"/software name.jar
then delete the "A" and "B" folder.
note :do not delete this midlets folder at all costs because other applications might stop working . never ever delete the app folder itself .now the space occupied by the application is removed.
